About

Being passionate about IT and STEM in general for as long as I can remember, I started my education at the Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Informatics in 2013, specialising in software development. Afterwards, I immediately began my career at Faros, working as a back-end developer with Java and Spring.

In early 2017, however, I decided to shift my focus to front-end development. I wanted to be “closer” to the end user and master JavaScript, which was rapidly gaining popularity across various frameworks. I joined Euricom to participate in their bootcamp, which focused on Angular and .NET Core. Although I never got to explore the latter much, I’ve been going strong with Angular ever since.

At the end of 2018, together with a friend and colleague, I co-founded Appgrade. Over the years, our new company has grown, and we have welcomed several employees to the team.

Apart from the professional side of things, I like to hike to give my eyes a rest from all the screens, travel to discover other cultures and food, and play music. Truth be told, it can sometimes get a bit overwhelming to combine all these passions since becoming a father but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
